YJC win Multi Nation Medals in Scotland Members of the Young Judo Club Sittingbourne took part in
the International Budo Federation’s Multi Nation Judo Championships, which was
this year held in Ben Franks had to make do with a bronze in the match to make the finals he lost on a rather dubious penalty point against a Polish boy, what was more annoying is that the Nottingham boy who won the event Ben beat in under a minute for an Ippon a few weeks ago in the YJC 50th. Ashley Costa won silver in the Men’s u74 kilo class in the final he met his boggy man Karsten Burden who caught him with an Ippon leg grab. James Mazzetti won Gold but was closed to being disqualified from the competition, he applied a head lock in the final fight and was disqualified but the referees decided that it was not intentional so he was allowed to stay in the competition and as the competition was a Round Robin he had collected more wins then any other he still collected the Gold. Danny Carrott continues in winning form by winning the u90k
class and the Open class, Danny has been selected to go to the World Sombo
Championships in Next event is the Young Judo Club Summer Championships which will be held in Bredgar Village Hall June 23rd this will be for YJC members from Sittingbourne, Bredgar, Bromley and Bexley on the same day will be an adult Belt wrestling Championship.
