Sittingbourne Judo Society/Young Judo club

Take two Gold’s at BJC Kent Open

SJS/YJC entered just two players in the British Judo Council (MAC) Kent Open Moate Park Maidstone. This event is a well-established tournament on the Judo calendar and attracts judoka from all over the South East. It also a competition that the club allows its members to enter as a lot of tournaments do not always match the Health & Safety aspects expected of the Club, the club is very strict on how many tournaments a child can enter as believes that it can be damaging to force a child into competition as some parents and clubs are willing to do, the club takes it “Child protection Policy” very seriously. With the start of the School holiday our normal entry from the club was down considerably with a lot of players going on holiday.

Although only 12 years of age Ashley Jordan and Perri Mortimer are both seasoned players.
